DUE DILIGENCE

Under CDM, as the client of a construction project, you are ultimately responsible for the Health and Safety of the consultants and contractors you appoint.

Carrying out Due Diligence will ensure you are appointing the right people, to construct the right building, on the right site.

How we can help

At Wills Design we can assist you by conducting a site inspection and advising you of any risk or hazards that should be communicated to the team.

This inspection can also be carried out before the site/structure is purchased, to help you better understand the potential risks and costs involved.

EARLY STAGE
INVESTIGATION

If you require early stage investigation or surveys, you have a duty to provide information on the condition of the site or building, along with any risks and hazards. Typically these include:

  • Asbestos
  • Contaminated Land
  • Unstable Structures
  • Unexploded Ordnance (UXO)
  • Above & below ground service
  • Unsafe working conditions
  • Vermin
Competency

You must ensure that any consultants or contractors have the required knowledge, skill and resources to carry out the project, along with defining how the project will be managed.

At WPD we will work with you to review potential consultants and contractors,  advise you on their competency and make recommendations for further action where required.

Whatever your CDM requirements, we will provide you with a quality competitive service that will enable you to discharge your CDM duties with confidence and ensure you, and your project, are CDM compliant.
